What’s this all about?

The tabletop industry is filled with creative roles. There are the visually creative like illustrators and graphic designers, the conceptually creative like game designers and developers, and also the verbally creative like writers and editors. Each one of these individuals’ contribute their own brand of creativity to the games they help make.

The “Be Creative” movement’s mandate is to elevate creative individuals and foster creativity in the tabletop indsustry. This August at Gen Con in Indianapolis, we’ll be offering some of the best creative up-and-comers in the tabletop industry a leg-up by sitting them across the table from some of the industry’s leading publishers.

This three-hour event will have you rubbing elbows with top designers (game and graphic), artists, and developers in board games all surrounded by games, karaoke and friends. There will be ample food and drink to nourish our creative appetites as well.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early and check-in at the Prize table which is located by the dart boards and circle bar. Event Staff will be there to assist you and guide you through the speed-dating event.

During the speed-dating session, you will travel from table to table having the chance to engage in eight 3-minute dates, with leading tabletop publishers. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creativity and connect with some of the best publishers in the industry.

Please come prepared with either business cards, sell sheets, or small portfolio. Unfortunately, the table space is VERY small, so you should not bring prototypes/samples as there is not sufficient space. Additionally, due to the very quick time frame, the priority is to make an impression and exchange contact information for followup.

In the end, you just need to bring your sparkling personality!
